Hello! I am currently a recipient of the Hong Kong RGC Post-doctoral Fellowship for the period of 2022-2025 and serve as a research assistant professor at Lingnan University. My research primarily centers on the political economy of East Asian countries, with a particular emphasis on China and Japan. Additionally, I investigate the causal effects of nationalism on various political and economic dynamics. At present, I am working on a book manuscript that explores the interplay between nationalism and China's economic modernization. I am also actively engaged in collaborative research focused on China's strategies for globalization and its industrial policies. Most recently, I have initiated a new research project that employs mixed methods to analyze the connection between nationalism and online disinformation within the Chinese context.
